Structural AutoCAD Drafter

August 4, 2010

Supports the Engineering team by producing quality AutoCAD documents in a timely fashion. Projects primarily involve structural steel, concrete and masonry.

The successful candidate must have:

  • a professional or technical degree plus 2 years of experience working in the commercial structural field

  • hands on experience in AutoCAD 2007 or later and

  • some experience in Revit is desired

     

Additionally, candidate must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, work closely with a team of professionals, communicate clearly, and have a strong sense of urgency to complete a project within quality and project deadline constraints.

Structural Engineer

The Structural Engineer, working under a licensed PE, will be responsible for engineering analysis and design of steel, concrete and masonry structures, and will participate in production of contract drawings.


Duties Include:

•    Perform building analysis

•    Draw plans and details in AutoCAD and/or Revit format

•    Coordinate drawings with architectural trade and other consultants

•    Produce structural drawings in AutoDAD format

•    Review shop drawings

•    Perform intra-state project site visits


QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD 2007 or later and have some experience with Revit.   Additionally, the position requires the ability to work closely with a team under tight deadlines and communicate clearly both written and verbally.  Required experience and education include:

•    Must be licensed Professional Engineer or eligible for licensing within 2 years

•    Must have hands on experience in AutoCAD 2007 or later

•    Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering and the production of contract documents
